In the Auditorium for Foundation Lectures, Graduate School of Medicine, Hirosaki University, on Monday, August 4, 2014, Mr. TAKAYAMA Takuzo, Ph.D, Project Leader of the Tohoku University COI site (Division Chief, Life Science Division, Toshiba Corporation) was invited to give a special lecture. It was the third lecture in this series. The goal of this lecture was to develop an even deeper knowledge of the program and to promote research activity under the following program direction:  Development of an innovative strategy for disease prediction and prevention by combining neuroscience research and analysis of “big health” data (abbreviation: The Center of Healthy Aging Innovation). The event was organized by the university, along with various companies and local governments and adopted by The Center of Innovation Science and Technology based Radical Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program (COI STREAM).

Furthermore, the university intends to strengthen its connections with all the COI sites and develop COI programs, beginning with genomic analyses in conjunction with Tohoku University’s COI site.
