In order to lead a productive and happy campus life, you need to stay healthy, both physically, and mentally. At the Health Administration Center, a physician, a counselor and nurses are stationed to provide various health care services, including regular medical examinations, first aid, and health consultation.

Gene Research Center
Gene Research Center
The Gene Research Center has three laboratories and a radioisotope experiment facility. The center devotes itself to fundamental researches on the genetic structures and functions of animals, plants and microorganisms. The center also focuses on applied researches in genetic engineering for the treatment of cancer and hereditary diseases and for the purpose of improvement of breeding in plants and animals. At the Gene Research Center, a couple of symposiums and seminars are held annually with speakers invited from other universities as well as speakers from the university's Faculty of Agriculture and Life Science and School of Medicine. In addition, a DNA recombination experiment workshop is also held twice a year with a view to diffuse DNA recombination experiment technology in the university and research institutions in the northern Tohoku district.

In the Center for Computer and Communications there are about 300 personal computers and a number of software.

We have 3 university libraries. The main library is on the Bunkyo- cho campus. Two branch libraries are on the Hon-cho campus. These libraries contain 900,000 volumes, 19,000 types of magazines and audio-visual periodicals like CD.

University Center
University Center
The University Center's primary function is to promote closer relationship between the students and staff and also to contribute to improvement of their welfare. The center houses a student cafeteria, kiosk, student cooperative bookstore, meeting rooms, recreation room, coffee shop, barber, ticket information counter, three Japanese style tatami-rooms and "cyber room" where students have access to job information on the Internet.
50th Anniversary Hall
50th Anniversary Hall
This hall was completed in 1999 on Bunkyo-cho Campus in commemoration of the university's 50th anniversary. The hall was designed imaging the former Hirosaki Higher School building. The hall is open to public and is used, among other things, to give lectures and concerts and to hold meetings.
Center for Education and Research of Lifelong Learning
The center offers extension courses in response to the needs and interest in lifelong learning of the people in our community. The courses are held in the cities, towns and villages throughout Aomori prefecture. The topics of the courses cover many different areas: political science, economics, education, social welfare, medicine and culture are among the diverse topics covered in these courses. In addition to the extension courses, the center holds lectures and symposiums. The center also advises people on lifelong learning, trains prospective leaders of lifelong learning education and provides necessary information. Conducting researches in order to understand what problems should be addressed in lifelong learning is one of the important functions of the center. By analyzing the problems our community is facing, we hope to understand what role the university should play so as to better serve our community.
Center for Joint Research
Center for Joint Research
The Center's primary role is to put university research results to practical use in local industrial circles by serving as a place of exchange between the university and local industries. The center's main activities are as follows:
  1. Conducting joint researches with private organaizations and undertaking commissioned researches from them
  2. Promotion of academic exchange and information exchange with private organizations
  3. Providing technological education and training to technical experts
  4. Offering scientific technology-related advising to private organaizations
  5. Conducting joint researches within the university and with other universities
  6. Offering applied education and research-related advising to students
