Academic Journal “Radiation Environment and Medicine” Receives Its First CiteScore

On June 9, 2025, Elsevier, one of the world’s largest academic publishers, released the CiteScore 2024 metrics, and the English-language academic journal Radiation Environment and Medicine (REM) received a CiteScore for the first time.
REM is edited by the Radiation Emergency Medicine and Cooperation Promotion and the Institute of Radiation Emergency Medicine, and published by Hirosaki University Press.
CiteScore is calculated based on citation data from Scopus, one of the world’s largest abstract and citation databases provided by Elsevier. For 2024, REM received a CiteScore of 1.3.
As a result, REM has been ranked as a Q3 journal in the academic fields of:
- Physics (Radiation Science)
- Medicine (Miscellaneous)
- Environmental Science (Miscellaneous)
In addition, REM is also ranked as a Q3 journal by the Scientific Journal Ranking (SJR), published by a Spanish academic research institution.
