Class instruction after October 26th

26.10.2020

To Students and faculty members at Hirosaki University,

After examining the current COVID-19 situation in Hirosaki City, Hirosaki University has made the following decisions:

  1. Class Instruction
Media classes will continue to be conducted until November 8th.

  2. Student Clubs & Circles
Students are asked to refrain from doing club and/or circle activities until November 8th, except for taking care of horses for those who belong to the horse-back riding club and any activities that do not involve face-to-face interaction.

  3. Part-time Jobs
Students are also asked to refrain from working part-time jobs at places that serve alcohol for the time being. No matter where you work, it is recommended that you check to see if your work-place has taken adequate preventative measures. Also, it is important to do daily preventative actions on your own, such as disinfecting your hands often and wearing a mask.

On Friday November 6th, Hirosaki-U will reassess the situation and decide how to proceed (regarding class instruction, club/circle activities, part-time work) and then announce it to everyone.

Please make sure to take care of yourself and follow daily preventative actions, such as avoiding the three Cs (Closed spaces, Crowded places, and Close-contact settings), washing or disinfecting your hands frequently, and wearing a mask. It is also important to try and remain calm during these uncertain times.

If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please refrain from attending the university. If you suspect that you might have been infected, please contact the faculty you belong to.
